ArtLAB Global Gallery

Karen: T-shirt Op-shop altered, skirt ZIPPORRA custom made, shoes Converse, bag Op-shop, necklace from Tara as an 18th Birthday present, bangles from sportsgirl, ring Low Luv x Erin Wasson.

A week or so ago some friends and I had the pleasure of going along to the opening of the ArtLAB Exhibition at Global Gallery. A friend of ours PhewOne (http://www.all-areas.com.au) aka Glenn Purcell was showing some of his artworks along side four other incredibly talented street artists. You can see Rochelle Fox, Chris Soll and myself in front of his amazing pieces! We were lucky enough for PhewOne to do a live street artwork at our previous Zipporra show which was AWESOME! We were also joking on the night how awkward it would be if I ran into my ex-boyfriend as I had just cut up his T-shirt (the one I am wearing) and we did! whooops! Prior going to the event we took some happy snaps of course!

Karen: Dress American Apparel, jacket thrifted and altered from Bondi Markets, handbag vinnies, sandles Tree of Life, necklace from grandmother, bangles from sportsgirl, ring Low Luv x Erin Wasson.

These were taken just before heading to a friends birthday. This is one of my all time favourite jackets. I loved textured garments, I feel free like a bird when wearing this jacket.

Sunny days pre Homebake

Karen: T-shirt given to as child, skirt sisters from target, shoes Doc Martins thrifted from glebe markets, necklace from grandmother, bangles from sportsgirl, ring Low Luv x Erin Wasson.
Tara: dress, bargain but from Cala. Necklaces: asos, colorful bracelets from my childhood, silver ring/bracelet from Morocco, crystal bracelet from witchery, blue Jewell ring from my childhood, gold crown ring from Thailand. Shoes from Wanted.

Please excuse us! To celebrate the one odd sunny day in the middle of many miserable ones we consumed maybe a few too many vodka sodas before we decided it was time to shoot our Homebake outfits! It also gave Karen the Dutch courage she needed to be totally bad ass and jump into the construction site of a neighboring home! Hope you enjoy our post as we certainly enjoyed shooting it! ☺.

A jumping start

Karen: Shrug thrifted from Portobello Markets, Black singlet, Target skirt, Doc Martins boots thrifted from Glebe Markets, Silver Necklace from a boutique in Terrigal, Low Luv x Erin Wasson ring
Tara: Asos singlet, Pleather pants from General Pants, Black sandals from Zu, Gold cuff necklace from Lovisa

Hoorah! We = Karen (the brunette) and Tara (the semi blondie mc fondie) have finally done it! After so many years of procrastination we finally grew the female equivalent of balls.. this post is proof! Poor Dena (photographer) even had to get us on the trampoline to make us feel at ease behind the camera. Who knew jumping (and a whole lot of laughter) would be so exhausting. Next stop was our local coffee haunt post a few snaps by it's grimy graffitied exterior.
